ABOUT ME
I have always been drawn to drawing but I began my career as a bookkeeper. It was only after the very young and unexpected deaths of my parents and subsequent hospitalisation that I really found art, thanks to the help of our wonderful NHS and art therapy. That program has been cut now but is something I remain passionate about. I mainly make work about the experiences I have had, being a woman, being an orphan and feeling displaced in our late capitalist society. Moral of the story, live your life for you, don't wait till retirement to do the things you enjoy as tomorrow is never guaranteed!
